    APSTS will provide 2 categories to successfully establish employee safety incentive programs. To promote acceptance of your IIPP.

    • The first category is a rate-based program, which offers prizes, cash bonuses or other physical rewards for having a low or zero rate of injuries or illnesses in the workplace over a specified period.
    • The second category will be behavior based. These programs are not tied to injury and illness rates, but to engage in safe practices in the workplace. In this case, rewards may be provided to workers who identify dangerous working conditions or suggest potential improvements to safety policies.
